CBD-spiked Golden Milk: Boost this warming Ayurvedic elixir with liquid comfort!

CBD-spiked Golden Milk: Boost this warming Ayurvedic elixir with liquid comfort!

Golden milk is a delicious and healing hot beverage made with turmeric and other root spices.  Turmeric, that bright yellow spice used for flavor and color in Asian cuisines, has been used in India for millennia as an ayurvedic spice and medicinal herb. Curcumin, the most active compound in turmeric, is a powerful anti-inflammatory which naturally repairs cellular damage and fends off illness. Because of its numerous benefits (learn more about them here!) Indians make this delicious, spicy turmeric milk that is now gaining popularity in the west. Also known as haldi doodh!, this easy-to-make milk is used to aid the passing of many ailments including colds, coughs, inflammation, aches, and pains.

Cannabidiol (CBD) has long been used in Ayurveda as an anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, sleep-inducing super ingredient that has taken western cultures by storm in recent years. As the legal status of the cannabis plant shifts and its many medicinal benefits are recognized, so too has CBD, one of many non-psychoactive cannabinoids found in the plant. Combining CBD with turmeric and the other spices, this drink is chock full of all-natural active ingredients to soothe your pain and lull you to sleep. With the exception of CBD oil which can be found here, you probably already have everything you need in your kitchen for this caffeine-free comfort beverage perfect for bedtime.
